Volvo Repair: speedo pulse output, volvo s80 t6, vehicle speed sensor

Hi Regis, i hope that you can help me. I bought a second hand volvo s80 t6 1999 and i want to put a taxi meter in it. But I have found out that no-one knows how to find the speedo pulse output to connect with the taxi meter. It is supposed to be connected with the gear box but it is not.....any idea.....thanks. i'm from Wellington New Zealand

it is going to be a digital signal from the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission.the sensor is located on the back of the trans. the connector for it will be on the top side of the trans. back from where the shift linkage attaches towards the firewall.
