How do I open the center counsel to adjust the parking brake?

That model does have an auto adjuster that adjust in about 10 pulls but for manual adjustment the cable adjuster is under the rear ashtray.  Removing the whole center console is unneccessary.  Just pull that up and out and then if your model (dependent on production date) has a sprig retainer, that comes out with a hammer and screwdriver.  Then all you gotta do is get a wrench on it.  Good luck.
