Volvo Repair: Oil Pan Gasket replacement, pan gasket, silicone sealer

I am in the process of replacing the oil pan gasket on my 92 240. I have all the bolts out, but my question is do I have to loosen the front motor mounts and jack up the engine to get the pan off? If so where is the best jacking point on the engine?

if it is a volvo original part you are using you can remove the tape from the gasket and pull it apart.it is fitted like a puzzle piece with the tape over it.then slip it around the oil pump and put it on the pan.then put the gasket back together and use a little silicone sealer where the 2 parts fit together.
