Volvo Repair: radio, wrong number, radio

Question
I have a 1991 240. The radio is acting up It flashed-       
cod E
for a few seconds and I pushed some buttons. Now it
Reads
EEE   
and seems to have a mind of its own. Whats wrong?

the radio has lost power for some reason now it needs a security codes typed in so it will work .it is an anti theft radio.now the wrong number has been used it will need to have the key turned to position 1 for about 2 hours then you will need the proper code from the local dealer
