Volvo Repair: Stalling, now not starting, fuel pump relay, fuel pump

Question
My 1986 240 DL Station Wagon was stalling on occasions when making a left hand turn, now it won't start.  When I jump started it, it starts, then after work, it wouldn't start again.  Also the overdrive doesn't kick in at all.  Only on very few occasions would it kick in.  Thanks.

Answer
there are many things that can cause this.I would check the fuses in the car and under the hood.there is a fuse under the hood follow small red wire from battery to fuse if this fuse looks dirty replace the fuse and holder.if this checks ok I would replace the fuel pump relay.the overdrive is probably also a bad relay.which is located behind the glove box.
