Volvo Repair: trunk lock & tail lights, befor, tail lights

The trunk lock has been destroyed on the 1985 Volvo I just purchased, is there an alternate way of getting the trunk open?
Will I be able to change the bulbs in the tail lights once I can open the trunk?

yes you will be able to replace the bulbs once open.

you may have to try and remove a taillight or the trunk latch through the ski door between the rear seats.I have used long extensions to remove a tallight befor to gain access to the trunk lock inside the trunk to open it.this is not easy to do.
