Volvo Repair: Volvo 240 warning light, 1993 volvo 240, volvo 240

Question
I have a 1993 Volvo 240 with 83,000 miles.  A year ago one of the brake lights was out and the bulb had to be replaced.  Since that time, when ever I apply the brakes a warning light on the instrument panel goes on to indicate that a light is out.  I have tried replacing the bulb and the others but with no success, the warning light continues to come on when I use the brakes.  Can you point me in the right direction to fix this?  Thanks,

Tom

Answer
Hello,
I think your brake lamp does not light even you replaced it with new one.
So, please check the current that is behind the buld, I mean if there is current goes to bulb or not, if there is current replace the bulb housing and bulb again, but if there is no current check the wires that come to bulb housing if there is any broken cable or not, if there is no broken cable you should check all fuses and all relays about brake lamps.
