Volvo Repair: electrical systems, abs light, hurricane charley

Question
I just test drove a volvo 850 1995 about 2 days ago and there were a few complications that the dealer had to fix before i could drive it home. For instance, the ABS light was on, the blinkers failed to even appear on the panel let alone work, the shift was locked and the battery appeared to be corroded. When i drove it away today the ABS light wasnt on even though we havent put the ABS breaks in yet, the blinkers worked, the shift wasnt locked and they claimed to have put a new battery in the car. Well i drove the car for a while then it sat for about four hours before i drove again. When i went to drive it after the four hours it had been sitting there, the blinkers didnt work and the shift was locked. Do you think there is a failure in the electrical system? If so how should I go about fixing it?

Answer
First, sorry for late response.I am in SW Florida and if you do not know we were just hit by  Hurricane Charley Friday and I just got power 30 minutes ago.

there could be one or several problems.if other things like radio do not work it could be the ignition switch.if they do work it could be a bad microswitch for the shifter and a bad hazard relay which is the turnsignal relay also.
