Volvo Repair: timing belt, crankshaft pulley, pulley bolt

Question
I thought i would replace timing belt myself but now i am chicken, should i do this? can i mess up the turbo somehow. I have and 1989 760 turbo. do i need special tools, I have never done this myself (or on any car.)I did replace the water pump and the fan belt.) also, i dont have any timeing secquence info. any info would be greatly appreciated. My son is helping me but is also unfamiliar with turbo. Am i in over my head?

Answer
it is an easy belt to replace. the hard part will be getting the crankshaft pulley bolt loose without the special tool.you will need to find a way to lock the crankshaft in place to loosen the bolt.I would purchase a chiltons or haynes repair manual to help guide you in this process.it will be a big help,Ilike haynes because they also have wiring diagrams in them.
