Volvo Repair: Volvo S60 Air Cond, volvo dealer, pollen filter

Question
I have a 2001 Volvo S60 2.0T. After I unlock the car doors and have entered the car but before I start the engine, the air cond occasionally comes on automatically.  The blower blows for about 10-15 seconds. No dials/buttons are touched nor the key inserted into the ignition.  Is this normal?

Answer
Hello,
yes, it is normal. On that cars there is a system that works like a "dryer". After the AC worked, on the "pollen filter" of the AC system, there is "humidity". This fan works and get it dried, so you will not "smell" humidity.
But this is an optional system, if you do not want this system, an authorised Volvo dealer can "off" it easily by diagnostic computer (called VADIS). But I recommend to you to stay it "on"...
