Volvo Repair: 2000 S70 Volvo SE - A/C Heater Fan, climate control system, dtcs

Question
I have the fan control with a sliding speed control knob (also the auto function to the far left). When I turn car on, turn fan on, fan comes on for a second or two, hesitates and shuts off. Lights on fan speed knob as well as A/C on/off knob blink 20 seconds and shut off (just as the manual describes it). However, it does not do this all the time. Tomorrow it may work. I know the manual says to see a service technician but I haven't had the time as of this email. I am curious what the problem is. Is it something that I could fix or is it more involved than that? Is it a fuse? - I checked those. Just wondering the complexity of the problem...  Thanks.

Answer
Hello,
the problem is not related with fuse or relay. The problem is about "Climate Control Module" or damper motors those are control the distrubition of the air to which way air goes, I mean to head or to foot or recirculation on/off.
This is not a "complex" problem, do not worry about it more. The system works, but you see the lamp "flashes", it tells you there is a "disturbance" at the system. When you have time, when you go to service, the car will connect to the computer (this computer is a special computer called VADIS, Volvo Aftersales Diagnostic Information System-found in authorised dealers only), and the car will be checked what the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) at the Climate Control System, and according to these DTCs, it will be decided what should be done to solve this problem, maybe one of damper motors will be found as defective or it should be adjusted again via VADIS, like this...But as I wrote before, do not worry about it more, it is not serious, but there is problem, when you have time it will be found...
