Volvo Repair: Volvo 2000 S80 Brakes, brake rotors, s80

Question
"I noticed that the front brake rotors on my 2000 S80 have a raised lip on the very outside rim of the rotor due to rotor wear. I noticed in the parking lot that other S80's had a similar lip on the rotors. I tried to remove the rotors to have them turned however, I could not remove them from the car. I had already removed the calipers and the screwed locator pin but, the rotor would not come off. Is there something else holding on to it?

Also, I noticed that the rotors are not perfectly circular. There was a 2 inch section on the outside rim where the lip was not present and you could see where the casting on the outside edge was smaller in OD than the rest."

Answer
after removing the caliper and pin the only thing holding the rotor on is rust.hit it with a hammer several times where the bolts go in for the wheels to loosen the rotor up.

I am not sure what you mean on the second part.there is sometimes a small flat cut on the outer edge of the rotor.which would be normal.
