Volvo Repair: Turbo, transmission, power steering, transmission leaks, tail shaft

Question
My 1982 240 Turbo Wagon has a couple problems.  But first the history:
Bought it a few months ago, and it had sat for a year, and wasn't running.  Changed the oil, plugs, wires, distributor and filters and got it running.  Had exhaust fixed (new pipes, cat and muffler).  Now, it starts, but smokes, and is really underpowered (feels like the turbo isn't doing anything really) and I think it's running rich...also leaking tranny fluid like a mofo - a drip every second or two.  As far as the power steering goes, it just turns REALLY easily in on direction and sort of average in the other direction.

QUESTIONS:
How do I check for the correct seals to replace to stop the leak?
Are there any "tune-up" issues I should know about, like before I time it?
How do I correct the rich fuel/air ratio?
Is there a separate drain plug for the turbo oil?
I feel like the engine needs a good cleaning after sitting for so long...any recommended products?
Any other suggestions or diagnostic tests recommended?

I have the Chilton and Haynes which include this model in the range.

Thanks!

Brian

Answer
I am not sure what you mean check for the right seals.if it is an automatic the common transmission leaks would be the tail shaft bushing and seal are worn.the front pump seal or O ring can leak.

I think the best thing to do would be to have this looked at and adjusted by a good volvo mechanic familiar with the older cars. I rarely have worked on the older CI fuel injected cars and from what I have seen by time they begin to run poorly there are usually multiple problems.they are somewhat sensitive and need to be set up properly to run right.

there is no drain for the turbo.
