Hello,
I have two door lock related questions:
(1) When locking the doors using any method (remotes, either armrest, key on driver's side), all doors do indeed lock, but the front passenger door lock immediately pops back up again - down-up, down-up each time I press "Lock". If I press Lock over and over again, it sometimes will eventually stay locked, but most often, I have to depress the lock manually. Just in case it would help, I checked the related fuses and they seemed fine.
(2) The manual states that the car should automatically lock and the alarm should engage after two minutes if left unlocked. On my car, the alarm does engage, but the car does not automatically lock itself.
Any ideas as to what is wrong? Can I troubleshoot and/or fix either of these problems myself? Thanks so much.

Hello,
first problem is "front passenger door lock". It should be replaced with new one.
I think second problem is related with first problem. Firstly, replace the lock, and then test again.

What is the exact name of the part that I should replace - is it a module, a selenoid, a mechanical part? Can I do it myself? If so, a quick lesson would be most appreciated!

tha part is "door lock", for example 8650551 one of the part numbers of the door locks, it depends on the chassis no and lock type of the car, if you give me complete chassis no as (YV1.... it is 17 digits, can be read lower left side of the front glass) I can try to find the part no of the lock for you. (And if you will give, please write the lock type I mean the door can be opened via key or not)
P.S.You can not replace it by yourself.
