Volvo Repair: Brake Lights V90 Wagon, brake light switch, vacuum line

Question
My brake lights just stopped working on my 1998 V90 wagon.  The high mounted brake light on the tailgate is not working as well.  I have checked the fuse box and replaced the designated fuse but they still don't work.   Checked with a multimeter - no juice to the brake lights. Reverse and park lights on the same taillight assemble work OK. Any ideas?

Answer
if I had to guess without seeing it I would say the brake light switch is bad.this will be near the brake pedal attached to a bracket.there may be 2 switches one is cruise control this one will have a vacuum line on it.the other for the lights is just a wiring connector.
