Volvo Repair: fuel, fuel pump relay, fuse panel

Question
I have an 89 240 GL Volvo.   I have pulled a plug to see and I am getting spark, but no fuel to the engine.  Where do I begin to trouble shoot.  Filter? Fuel pump?

check the fuses in the fuse panel for corossion.check the battery positive cable for loose connections of the small red wires.if this is ok then I would try a new fuel pump relay most common is the fuel pump relay goes bad.the relay is behind the felt panel above the passengers leg are.
