Volvo Repair: Volvo Repair, 1996 volvo 960, volvo repair

Question
I have two sets of questions about my 1996 Volvo 960 with about 72k miles in Northern California:

1) Front Rotors - I consider myself mechanically inclined; how easy is it to replace the front rotors?  If it is difficult without the proper tools, what should I expect to pay at a local service shop?  How long would it take you to replace them?

2) Air Conditioner - The vehicle overheated last summer and I had to replace the temperature gauge on the dash.  Since then the air conditioner seemed to be weakened.  If I kept the car out of the hot sun, the air from the air conditioner would get colder than it would if I let the car bake in the sun.  Can you suggest what the problem is?  What should I expect to pay for just recharging the air conditioner versus replacing the whole air conditioner system (I understand older Volvo air conditioners are not very reliable).

Answer
it is easy to replace them.no special tools needed other than a 10mm allen wrench.our cost would be about 400 dollars parts and labor.would take maybe 20 minutes.

if the car starts out hotter from being in the sun it will take much longer to cool the car and the evaporator.it would need to be looked at for a proper diagnosis.recharging would be about 130 dollars.
