Volvo Repair: Battery Drain, fuse box, battery drain

Question
I have 1997 850 with 79000 miles. I've been having battery drain problems. I leave the car for a few hours and the battery is dead.
I disconnected the alarm system, removed all of the fuses from the fuse box and but I could see that current was still there (my test brake light was pretty bright during the test, so I assume at least 2A was going through).
When I jump start the car, everything works fine after that and the alternator charges the battery.

What could be the problem? alternator doesn't disconnect itself from the circuit after I stop the car? or the starter motor is faulty?

Who can I point to the exact cause?

Thank you for your help.

Answer
I would need to see it to be sure what the problem is there are still many things that can cause this even with all the fuses out.one possibility is the alternator is bad and is shorted inside draining the battery.you need to keep disconnecting items till that light goes out I would try disconnecting the alternator wire on back of the alternator.the large red wire.then I would disconnect the small red wires from the positive battery terminal.
