Volvo Repair: Volvo Reliability?, volvo reliability, v70 wagon

I have never owned a volvo but I am considering purchasing a used 1999 V70 wagon. I hear that the electrical systems in Volvos are troublesome. Should I expect to have this car in the shop alot? What is Volvo's track record for reliability? And is it more expensive on average to fix a Volvo rather than an American car?

these days I feel they are pretty close on cost the volvo may be a little more expensive to fix.there are some electrical items that go bad but all cars have their problems I would search the internet for reviews on that model and see what consumer reports nd people like that say about it.
