Volvo Repair: distributor cap and rotor, volvo s70 glt, weekend mechanic

Question
I have a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT with 98000 miles. I would like to replace the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Is this easy enough for a weekend mechanic? The spark plugs and wires seem simple enough but the distributor cap and rotor scare me a bit. I have a repair manual that says that all I have to do is remove the distributor cap, then the flash shield and then the remove the rotor. Install is the reverse. Do I have to do any adjustment to the rotor before replacing it? Any other hints for this type of job. Thanks for your help.

Answer
no it is an easy job that anyone with some mechanical ability should be a ble to handle.the only tricky part is getting the wires onto the cap in the right position.the easiest way would be to install the cap and rotor abd then the wires into the respective plug holes then put them on the cap.the cap is numbered so it is easy.
