Volvo Repair: 850 T5-R, 850 t5, evaporator

HI I JUST BOUGHT A 66k MILE '95 850 T5-R AND FEEL IT IS A BIT SLUGGISH IN THE CITY AND HEAVY WHEN I HAVE PASSENGERS ON THE FREEWAY. ARE THERE USUAL PROBLEMS I HAVE TO ADDRESS O THIS CAR? SHOULD I GET A FULL INSPECTION? WHAT TESTS SHOULD I RUN? ALSO, WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP WHILE TURNING THERE IS A SOUND THAT COMES FROM EITHER THE LOWER PART OF ENGINE OR SUSPENSION. IT ONLY GRUMPLES FOR ONE SECOND AND GOES AWAY. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL THE ADVISE AND TIPS YOU CAN GIVE ME REGARDING THIS CAR, THANKS!!

the noise could just be the steering stops on a hard turn because they will make a crunching type noise.

only real problem is the evaporator.I would have a good volvo mechanic or the delar look at it to see what it may need.I would have the transmission flushed by a place that uses a machine to flush the fluid this replaces all the fluid not like a drain and fill.
