Volvo Repair: Eng Miss, mass airflow meter, fuel pressure regulator

Question
If I can get it to run good, I am thinking about buying a 1986 740 GLE. (Made in 7 '85.)  It sputters and misses unless you are at full throttle. Then it runns good. I also idles fairly well.  Any normal acceleration is terrable. It has all new ignition except coil, and new o2 sensor. The mass airflow meter has been replaced with another used one. No change. It may or may not be good.? Compression is 175 + on all cylinders. Vacuum is 20 at idle.  Any Ideas.

Answer
unplug the injectors one at a time. see if they make a difference. if one injector makes a difference. you need to find out why, ie bad injector, bad spark etc. other thing to check is the fuel pressure regulator, check the vacuum line going into the front of it, if there is any liquid, or fuel at all, you must replace it.
