Volvo Repair: CHECK ENGINE ON, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

I HAVE A 1999 S70 WITH MYSTERY ENGINE CODE,P1081
I CAN'T FIND CODE LISTED ANYWHERE.ALSO HAD P0171 BANK ONE LEAN STORED.ANY HELP WOULD
BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

I wish I could help ,but I am not familiar with the generic codes that aftermarket scanners give we have a different set of numbers from the volvo scanner.by the one code you listed sounds like a bad mass air flow sensor.if there is not visible vacuum leak it is most likely the mass air flow sensor.I have seen many of them go bad.I will try to find a reference for the codes.
