Dennis, you'll just have to tell me one thing, do you have a 3100 (3.1) or the 3800 (3.8)? Let me know and I'll get back to you immediately. Thanks.  I  thought they only came with the 3.8..I have the 3.8, non supercharged.....Thanks for the quick reply...Dennis....

Answer
Hey Dennis, all you'll need for tools is a ratchet (with no socket bits) You'll find a tensioner pulley among the mix of pulleys and wheels along the belt's drive. The tensioner pulley can be identified as being alone, with no attachment to the pulley. You will see a square hole right in the middle of the pulley.

Set your ratchet to "loosen" for lack of a better word. insert it in the hole and pull up. The tensioner pulley will slacken the belt and with the other hand you can pull the belt off of a couple of other pulleys (like the power steering and the alternator for example). Let the tensioner pulley go...SLOWLY (there is a powerful spring on it and it will fly back fast and damage other parts if you let go too fast)...back to it's position. Because there will no longer be a belt on it, it will spring back a lot further than before.

To put your new belt on, simply reverse the operation, pulling the tensioner pulley up again and feeding the new serpentine belt over all the pulleys and drives.

Let me know if you need more info.
