Buick/Olds: 97 LeSabre Stalling, ac accumulator, buick lesabre

Question
1997 Buick LeSabre, 55K miles

A little over a month ago my car started ramdomly stalling.  Three times on the highway, once when pulling into a parking spot, and a couple of times while driving steadily at 20-40 mph.  No warnings or signs have been noticed prior to the stalls.  Usually the car will start right up, but on two occasions I have had to wait approx 10 minutes before I could get it going again.

I have had both the fuel pump and fuel filter changed, and am running on a higher grade of gasoline.  The car stalled again this morning.  Can you tell me what's wrong with my car?

Answer
First of all, you need to switch back to 87 octane gas.
There are several things that could be causing the car to stall. The first thing I would look for is the wire harness for the computer rubs through on the AC accumulator. You will get intermittent stall, check engine light, hesitations, etc. There are all kinds of problems that go along with the rubbed through harness, it just depends on which wires are rubbed through and intemittently shorting out.
