Cadillac: 92 deville cooling fans, heater hoses, air shock

Question
If no leaks found in air shock air lines, is Height Sensor working as it should and we don't need to worry about the air pump running for a few minutes after the engine is off?

-----Question-----
The part that keeps running after ignition off sits between the hollow tube leading from and covering the air filter and the windshield washer jug. It looks like a small motor. There is no fan attached to this small motor-like part.  This part reminds me of my small air compressor for adding air to my tires.

-----Question-----
92 deville is my dad's so I'm unfamiliar with car. Just had heater hoses replaced. Returned home after 30 interstate miles. Key out of ignition and, for first time in 6 years, heard and felt motor-like part on driver side next to windshield washer jug running for about 3 minutes. Does this car have a cooling fan that kicks on after coolant exceeds certain temperature?  Also, are there more than this one fan that we need to be aware of?
-----Answer-----
You need to physically see what is running before I can help you.
-----Answer-----
sounds like the air pump for the air shocks. Should have a plastic air line attached to it.

Check the air shock air lines for leaks. If no leaks found. Most likely cause is the HEIGHT SENSOR.

Answer
Normally the air pump should NOT run after you turn off the ignition. You either have a small leak that may develop into a larger leak and cause the compressor to run more often over night and drain the battery or the height sensor is starting to fail. Keep an eye on it.
