Cadillac: 1989 delegance 5.0 ecc programmer, fleetwood brougham, adjustment screw

figured out that my fleetwood brougham needed an ecc programmer because the armature on the old one would sound stripped out. i could only put the fan on hi or off. i see a little white screw on the side, is that an adjustment i need to do? and i dont want to strip out the new arm either? so now i still cant turn up the warmer or the defrost on. can you help me out here? i appriciate your time          scott

install the new part but do NOT attach the threaded metal actuator arm on top of the programmer yet.

Once you have everything all hooked up start the car and turn ON the A/C or heater whichever way makes the programmer arm come towards you and wait 5 minutes and pull the actuator rod towards you as far as it will go and snap it in the plastic arm of the programmer.

Do NOT touch that adjustment screw.
