Cadillac: 88 W/ fuel delivery problem, fuse block, shrader valve

Question
I did the test and was getting a good solid flow of fuel. I replaced the filter and checked for pressure at the shrader valve at the throttle body and it would come out there with high pressure. I took the throttle body apart and looked clean inside. Seems to me that the injectors are not functioning. I again checked the fuses at the engine compartment fuse block and all fuses are good. I again checked all the fuses in the glove box, as well as under the passenger dash. All good. Any suggestions?

88 Cadi El Dorado. Fuel does not reach throttle body. I do hear the fuel pump for 2 sec. when key turned on. Error code reads B534. Car sat for 6 months. Battery was dead and replaced. Turns over and will run when fuel is poured down throttle body. Rat made nest under hood. Only damage I can tell is wire to hood lamp and some fiber optic wires going to head light area are eaten. 1/8" vaccum line to throttle body on L.S. is eaten as well. Other curious item is when key is turned to on, the driver message display only says system problem. I have to find the right spot between first two notches on ign. switch to get the dash numbers and driver message display to come up and then get the codes. I blead the shrader valve on the fuel line at the throttle body and a small amount of gas dribbles out after everytime I turn eng. over. Thanks in advance, Mike

Answer -
1/8" vaccum line to throttle body on L.S. is eaten as well.
Replace the above vacuum hose.

Remove the fuel filter and attach a piece of rubber hose to the steel fuel line that goes back towards the fuel tank and turn ON the ignition and see if you get a good stream of gas from the hose. If NOT remove the gas tank and check to be sure that the pump is attached to the rubber hose inside the tank and if it is and you do not get any fuel from the rubber hose at the fuel filter during the 2 second run period when you turn ON the ignition, Replace the fuel pump.

There is no such code as B534 on an 88 eldo.

Answer -
The B334 = Loss of ECM data to the A/C clutch. Check all your wiring harnesses to see if the rat chewed any more wires.

Perform the fuel pump test like I said earlier and let me know if you get fuel or not.

This code will NOT effect the running of the vehicle.

Answer
1. Take one of the 2 wire connectors off one one of the fuel injectors and with the ignition key ON, see i you have battery voltage at one of the 2 wires in the connector.

2. If YES, Take the test light and put the alligator clip on one of the wires and the probe tip on the other wire and crank the engine and see if the test light flashes ON and OFF.

If you have battery volatge on one of the wires and the light does not flash in step # 2, replace the Computer.
