Cadillac: fuel system, car start and run, gas tank

89 deville.pulled starter to have checked it was good  i put it back on. now  gauge is flashing E but my gas tank is full

Are you POSITIVE that your fuel tank is full ?. Will the car start and run ?.

Stick something in the gas tank to make SURE that there is gas in the tank., Because usually a flashing "E" means that your fuel level is Critically low.
