Cadillac: 1993 electrical problem, speedometer needle, seville sts

Question
Hi Tom,
I've looked for relays in the trunk but have been unable to find any. There are five relays next to the maxi-fuses under the hood. I took out the horn relay which works, and tried it in the other 4 spots with no luck. Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Chris

Hi Tom,
I have a 1993 Seville sts with the 4.6 Northstar engine. I started the car and the dash, radio, and shifter lights did not come on. The LCD lights are still working fine. When I put my foot on the brake the lights came on. This went on for about ten minutes, then they went out completely. I have checked all of the fuses in the truck and under the hood. Any suggestions?
Thank you

Chris

Do you have an ANALOG speedometer display (speedometer needle) or do you have a digital display. ?.

What lights are out ?. right now. what else does not work ?.

Tom, I have an analog display - the lights behind the speedometer and tacometer/fuel gage and the lights that illuminate the radio buttons - the lights that light up the center shift - where i can see what gear i am in at the time.
Thank you

In the trunk on the left hand side as your facing the trunk you will see a set of small relays.

You want the top relay closest to the fender. Replace it.
