Hi Tom,

Thanks for taking the time to help out.  It's much appreciated to those of us without the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions these days.

I have a '98 Eldorado w/ 106,000 miles on it.  For the past couple of weeks, I'll be driving around town, come to a stop and then as I being to accelerate again, what feels like the ABS engages and the computer reads STABILITY SYSTEM ENGAGED.  Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.  Sometimes the message will appear, sometimes I feel the ABS for a short second or two and message doesn't appear.  In all cases, I'm not skidding, my tires are new & properly filled, and the brakes (front & back) were recently done as well (although none of these maintenance items coincides with the issue).

It seems to happen more frequently after driving for a time.  (Meaning I can tool around for an hour or so and it doesn't happen, but then it suddenly starts and continues with increasing frequency as my driving continues.)  If I drive around stop and go for too long, the computer will eventually read SERV STABILITY SYS, which I can clear off using the dash button.  It's not hindering the acceleration at all, it's almost just an annoyance, but I'd rather it not do it in any case.

Any thoughts or ideas would be welcomed.

Nathan

Answer -
OK, The FIRST thing we need to do is check your computers for fault CODES:

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold for 3 seconds the OFF and WARMER buttons and then release them.

3. Diagnostic CODES will start to appear. write them down in the EXACT order in which they display and even if they display TWICE.

4. Turn ignition OFF.

Let me know what the codes are.

If you do not have enough time to write down the CODES, Just repeat this same above sequence.

--------

This is what I got:

PCM P0463 HISTORY
PCM P0603 HISTORY
PCM P0741 HISTORY
PCM P1483 HISTORY

NO ACM CODES
SDM B1327 HISTORY
TCS C1282 HISTORY
TCS C1287 HISTORY
PZM B0533 CURRENT

Hopefully, this is what you are looking for.  Thanks, again!

Answer
PZM B0533 = Fuel Level sensor shorted to battery.

MMM B2144 = outside mirror sensor inoperative.
MMM B2146 = outside mirror sensor inoperative.

What you need to do now is to clear all these codes and see what codes return.
