Cadillac: Recharge A/C, vacuum pump, freon

Could you PLEASE tell me where the low side service port is located on a 1990 Cad Sedan DeVille? Thanks!

You need to put a set of A/C gages on the system BEFORE you try and add freon in order to see what the LO and HI side pressures are at. Adding freon can explode the can if there is to much pressure in the LO side and you can be seriously injured or KILLED.

1. drain the system of any freon.

2. Evacuate the system via a vacuum pump.

3. Add one can of freon to see what pressures you have and to check for leaks.

4. If pressures are OK, Then finish recharging the system to manufacturers specifications.
