Cadillac: 1990 Cadillac wont start, cadillac sedan deville, color codes

Hi I have a 1990 Cadillac Sedan Deville that will not start because of a faulty security system, I know that a resistor can be placed inline to bypass this this problem. Do you know the color codes of the wire that I need to place the reistor in? My local dealer said they would do it for $150.00 but I am not going to pay $150.00 for a $3.00 resistor and 15 minutes worth of work. Thanks...Brad

Yes, I know which value resistor you need to by-pass the system. Unfortunately I do not give out this information freely because I have no idea who I am talking to and if you are the actual owner of the vehicle.

Your dealer should NOT be by-passing this system either.

This guy needs to be reported to GM. Who is he ?.
