QuestionI have a 1997 Cadillac STS. When I tried to start my car yesterday, there was no electrical power. It was completely dead -no lights, no sounds-nothing.
I then connected my battery charger and PRESTO, everything was back to normal. Have you any ideas on what caused this? Is there any other way to reset this problem.
Every once in a while there is no radio audio. All indications on the control panel are normal. If I listen closely, I can hear audio very, very, very faintly. It is the same on am, fm, tape or cd. Everything returns to normal the next time I driv the car.
AnswerSounds like 2 seperate problems.
The first thing I would check, clean and tighten the battery cables at the battery and any junction blocks that the RED battery cable may also go to.
As to the radio, This is going to require some extensive testing.
