Cadillac: 1998 cadillac catera, electric fuel pump, cadillac catera

Question
I have a 1998 Cadillac Catera after running it and then shutting it off it wont start. I pulled the air intake off and shot it with starting fluid, it starts and shuts back down. This tells me that it is not getting fuel. If you let it set for 15-20 mins. then it will fire back up. Do you think this could be the fuel relay? If it is could you tell me which relay it is? Or if you think  it is something else?

Using a helper do the following:


1. Remove the gas cap.

2. Listen at the gas cap opening.

3. have your helper turn the ignition switch to the ON position ONLY. Do NOT try and start the engine.

4. As soon as he turns ON the ignition you should be able to haer the electric fuel pump in the fuel tank run for ONLY 2 seconds and then STOP.
