Question
I HAVE A 1989 CADILLAC SEVILEE 4.5 LITER. IT JUST STARTED TO HAPPEN. WHEN I SHUT ENGINE OFF HEATER BLOWER MOTOR STILL RUNS. ALL THE CONTOLS ARE OFF.
I NEED TO FIND WHERE FUSE IS SO I CAN PULL SO IT WONT DRAIN MY BATTERY. I DID ALL THE FUSES INSIDE THE GLOVE BOX AND UNDER THE HOOD. NOT ONE OF THEM WOULD SHUT BLOWER MOTOR OFF. PLEASE HELP ME IM STUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Disconnect the wire that is attached to the blower motor and secure it away from any METAL SURFACE.

What you have is a typical failure of the BLOWER CONTROL MODULE of which usually fails due to  worn internal components within the blower motor.

therefore, you will need to replace:

1. the blower motor. (approx $45.00)

2. the BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE. (approx $150.00)

Depending upon your mechanical ability skills, Depends upon whether you can do the work yourself as it is NOT that difficult.

If you posess above average mechanical skills, Contact me at:

and I can guide you thru the process of replacing these 2 components.
