Questiontrunk light on dash is on when ignition is turned off.
AnswerThe trunk light operates similar to a mercury switch. If you tilt the trunk light socket a certain direction as when the trunk is OPEN the light will illuminate. When you CLOSE the trunk the light goes out.
OK, Go in the trunk and open it and see if the light comes ON.
If it DOES, Slowly watch by bending down as you slowly close the trunk, Just before the lid closes the light should go out. If it does NOT bend the light upward or downward until you get the light to go out just before the trunk closes. If you are unsuccessful, Replace the lamp assembly. or unplug it.
