Chevrolet: s-10 p2, ray hawk, airflow sensor

yesterday morning my S-10 turned over started and the died out after a couple of seconds
and did not restart until last night and ran fine
this morning same thing turned over started and the died out after a couple of seconds
it will turn over has spark and seems like the pump is primming when i turn on the key
air filter is new and just had new clutch put in last month

my truck starts runninig and then stops after a couple a second in the morning
and then takes 8 hours before it will finnaly start again and keep running.

Hello Leon,

If your truck is carb-equipped, check to make sure the choke opens right after the engine starts.
Otherwise, check the fuel injector array for corrosion or plugged injectors.
You may need a new fuel filter; yours may be clogged.
Also, check your oxygen sensor and airflow sensor.
Finally, make sure you have no vaccuum leaks in the intake.
