Chevrolet: 1996 Camaro V6 coolant leak, camaro v6, coolant leak

Question
Hello,
I have a coolant leak that started as a dribble and is now a gush of Dex-Crap...it initially only leaked after running for a while then heat soaking after shut-off.  It now leaks constantly, about a drip per second.
The leak appears to be coming from directly behind the automatic belt tensioner pulley (the lower part that has the spring in it).  I know the first answer would be head gasket or intake gaskets...but is there any way it could just be the heater hose intake and outlet part...its one huge piece that all comes together when you get a new tension pulley asembly...I cant tell how it connects to the rest of the motor without dismantling. Kinda hoping its just a hose back there that broke!!!
Thanks for any help

Answer
Josh,
Sounds to me like the water pump. There is a small hole in the front of the pump that is designed to leak as the pump goes bad to let you know it is going bad. I would check the hoses first, but it really sounds like the pump to me. Sorry!
