Chevrolet: Beretta Stalling, chevy beretta, beretta gt

Question
I have a 1991 Chevy Beretta GT with only 105,000 miles. I am having a problem with it stalling out. If I press down on the gas a little too hard from the start it dies, or if I slowly baby it up to about 30-40 mph it dies. I do have a minor radiator leak if that is relavent. I tried pulling codes and nothing came up. Thank you for your help.

Answer
Greg,
Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. I would start by changing the fuel filter and see if you net any result. Generally when this type of problem occurs it is because of too little fuel getting to the motor. If there is no gain from the filter change, I would look at the throttle poition sensor as the next culprit. There are a few things you can check - like fuel psi at inlet, depending on how technical you want to, or are able to, get. I would check the filter first, and if you don't see an improvement, let me know and we'll dig into it a little deeper. Good Luck!
