Chevrolet: 96 chevy beretta 2.2, throttle position sensor, chevy beretta

I have a 96 beretta (181,000 miles)that runs fine if i give it about 10% of the gas pedal. If I give it any more than that it sputters, kicks, and sounds like its running on three cylinders. I have replaced plugs, wires, air filter, and fuel filter. I also took the egr valve off and made sure it was working. There are also no codes on the computer. Can anyone help???

    At first blush, I'd say it is either a timing issue or the throttle position sensor. I'd throw a timing light on it and see what you get, there is a chance the belt is worn out and slipped, if that is right, then I would check the throttle position sensor and see if that makes a difference. With that kind of mileage though, my bet would be a timing issue.
