Chevrolet: Bleeding cooling system,1996 cavalier, losing coolant, rad cap

Can you tell me the easiest way to bleed the cooling system?I am losing coolant after I shut tne the engine off,from the overflow tank.I have recently replaced the thermostat.I have a bleed screw on top of the water outlet,and another vent /bleeder in the hose assembly.

If you are loosing coolant you might have something else going on, do you over heat,  I  would put a water psi tester on it -if you are not overheating than you can try to open the top screw but I doubt it is air.  check the rad cap out. and if you filled it too much and it is not running hot than it is spitting out what it doesn't need.  sorry for taking so long trouble at home
