Chevrolet: 1981 2 door impala, demolition derbys, chevrolet impala

Question
I have a 1981 2 door chevrolet impala. I have heard that they are rare and some people would pay a lot of money for them. I have also had people tell me they are just old worthless junkers that are good just for demolition derbys!!!
I was wondering if you know or how to find out.(and how to find out how many of them were ever made?)
     Thank you, Marci

Answer
Marci-
Hi well first off if the body is in good shape and the seats and inside are good , that makes it worth something, and if the motor is a v-8 and runs good that even better and if it is a standard shift with a clutch that good too. I would say that it could be worth a bit, if you are the orig. owner. that would up its value and if the miles are low that will also up its price. if it is all in good shape and runs good it is worth a few bucks, if it docent run and is beat up it is still worth a few 100. but it could be worth $1,000.  $5,000 or more if in good shape you will have to take a photo of the motor compartment, the right and left insides and the back seat and under the hood at the motor and in the trunk and in the dash , seats etc. and post it in the E-Bay you might get a good buck for it
if it is all 100 percent orig. it could be worth a lot.
