Chevrolet: 95 beretta (140,000 mi)high NOx emission level, nox emission level, nox levels

Question
My car won't pass the state emission test.I recently had my EGR replaced to lower my high NOx levels. The car does run a little hot. There's nothing wrong with the catalytic converter. Some mechanics have told me it may be a clogged intake manifold.Have you ever heard of an intake manifold clogging up?

Answer
Intake clogging wouldn't cause higher NOx levels unless the opening for the EGR was clogged which again doesn't happen often.

Try a can of Sea Foam in your gas and oil. It will make your car run like crap for one tank of gas until it burns it out but will clean everything out.
