Chevrolet: 1994 camaro lt1, cold air intake, coolant temp

Question
hi
I have a 1994 camaro lt1 and the car runs rough, bogs, and black smoke comes from the exaust after the engine is warm.  It also uses an extreme amount of gas.  I have changed the optispark twice, spark plugs and wires, air cleaner, cold air intake, ignition coil.  Is this an electrical problem or fuel problem?
Thank you for any help

Answer
Unplug the MAF and see if you get the same problem when the car warms up. If not, its definately a sensor issue. It could be O2 sensors, bad MAF, bad coolant temp sensor, or overheating ignition coil.

Try to swap in someone else's MAF to see if it runs better, if not you can eliminate that. Change the O2 sensors if they haven't been done for more than a few years, if all else fails, put a few fat washers between your coil and your cylinder head so the coil doesn't soak up the heat from it.
