Chevrolet: 02 Chevy Impala LS w/3.8 motor, tire pressure monitoring system, chevy impala

Question
2 things:
There's a distinct burning smell from the engine compartment but everything seesm OK (no burning of oil). Is this natural?
Unable to reset the tire pressure monitoring system or oil change system. Went by instructions in manual where you use the radio displays to reset but am unable to get the radio messages as listed int he manual.

Hi if you do not see any thing smoking or melting  than it might just be the heater odor that you are getting but keep a look out for any thing that might look as if it was burning and have it checked if you do find any thing as it could catch fire, as for the other problem, as it states in my profile I only go up to the mid 70s  in the repairs
