Chevrolet: Camaro wont start, oil pressure guage, pep boys

Question
I have a 95 Camaro. All sensors, computer has been changed. The car seems to start when you release the key the car automatically dies. If when trying to start the car and you do not release the key, the car will actually run, but when you release the key the car dies. I feel it may be the factory security system but I also also have an additional alarm system.
When you turn the ignition switch on, the battery guage, the radiator or heat indicator guage or oil pressure guage and the accessory lights do not come on, but when trying to start, all guages and accessory lights come on.
First symptom was the heat guage showed getting hot, the alternator guage discharging and the tactometer would fluctuate from 1700 to 3400 RPMs. The car would run kind of sluggish. After a few miles, the car would clear itself. All guages back to normal and then after a few miles, the guages would start to fluctuate again.
I had the car checked. The check engine light was on, but could not find the problem. They told me to drive the car until the symptoms started again. I drove the car to work that's when the guages began to fluctuate (approximately 20 miles to jobsite). When trying to return home the car started and died several times until finally it started and I drove it home. It seemed to run okay until I stopped. It started again. That's when the fluctuation got worse.
The additional alarm system is a Avital Champion Mark 3.
But I feel it is the kill switch. Does the kill switch turn off the guages?
I bought the car because I'd heard Camaros are becoming collector's cars. It only has 100K and would like to join Camaro collector's club and not for no money.

Answer
My guess is its not the security system. First off, check all your fuses.

Then disconnect the alternator and take it to your local pep boys or part source for testing.

Next you should check the fuel psi by attaching a manual fuel psi guage to the schraeder valve. If you haven't swapped out the fuel filter in the last year you should do that too.
