-----Question-----
Every thing works on my surb, but when I turned the switch to start it, it would not say a word. My husband pulled the ground wire off and did not reconnect it, could that be the problem.  The only way to get it started was from the starter. Now it starts on its own.  What could have happened.

I'm sorry, I guess I did not word the sentence right when I said Now is starts on its own.  It starts fine now when I turn the key. Could that ground wire have anything to do with what happened to it. I haven't had any more trouble lately. I just want to know what could have been the problem in case it happens again.
-----Answer-----
If the truck is starting without you putting a key in the ignition the wires on the starter are touching each other.

Answer
Well you should always reconnect ground wires. No clue which ground wire he disconnected but there are several in a car/truck. Its possible you have dead spots on the starter as well so if it happens again out of the blue, it means you need a new starter.
