Chevrolet: Theft System starting problem, chevy cavalier, key switch

Question
What remote key switch?  I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about.  I don't have a remote starter or keyless entry.  It seems to be the same problem as other people have asked but I don't know what to do besides let it sit for ten minutes and try again.

Hello, my 1996 Chevy Cavalier rarely starts when I want it to.  After three attempts the theft system light comes on and I can't start it for ten minutes. Even then many times it won't start and I'll have to wait another ten minutes.  This problem is making me skip classes I don't want to miss and making me dangerously late for work.  I don't have much money to fix it so I was wondering what exactly the problem is so I don't have to have a computer scan and other unneccesary expenses.

do you have the book that came with the alaram system / it sounds like the relay is bad, it might just plug in but    I do not know about  it enough with out the book .
can you try to  remove the fuse  and see if it will stop doing it but the alaram will not work if you take the fuse out. or the alaram might be going ..
