Chevrolet: rocker/valve tap, broken spring, ft lbs

how do i fix a noisey lifter on a 93 4cyl.cavalier.if i have hydrolic,how tight[ft.lbs]do i tighten rocker down?

Hi- I would find the  valve making the noise and check it for a broken spring, etc. than if it is just loose,you can back off on it till it clacks a lot than turn it in till it stops than go apx 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn  no more than that. it should be fine after that.  ok >>
